Accounting Specialist

 

PURPOSE

The Accounting Specialist will be the key responsible for the year and month end closing processes of the TNT Express Brazil entity.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Focus on Brazil Express throughout the full yearly accounting cycle. Making sure that all main entries are timely and correctly accounted for. This includes: provisions, internal charges to/ from other TNT entities;

Ensure the entries are sufficiently documented; and supervise the Balance sheet accounts review;

Work together with the Reporting & Control team to ensure that timely and accurate reporting is achieved. Following both Brazilian and TNT reporting standards;

Running the SAP transactions in order to close the financial books;

Be in contact with Group Accounting (Amsterdam) to implement changes or adjustments as advised by Headoffice;

Participate in audits (both internal and external);

 

Education

Bachelor degree in Accounting. (finalized) MBA is desirable.

 

Technical Skills and Prior Experience

Previous experience in the Accounting department for a transnational company;

Strong experience with SAP is mandatory;

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Both in Portuguese and English;

Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure, prioritize and meet required deadlines;

Past experience with a Big four company is a must.
